I love reading David Pogue, tech columnist for The New York Times.  Here’s a great piece he wrote on the basics of Twitter.  Like him, I didn’t initially get the twitter phenonmen but it can be amazing (and addictive).

Yesterday’s news about Steve Jobs’ medical leave set a sell-off spree and a swirl of speculations about his health (not good) and the implications to Apple (deadly).  Ironically, yesterday was also the day I met with my financial advisers (pre-announcement) and endured the now annual Apple bashing, cajoling and exhorting  to sell my Apple Shares.  I always resist.  Even now, in light of the news, or rather now because of the news, I’m more committed to stay the course.  I will not sell my Apple shares.

This past Sunday, I participated in my first Twittercast — and it reminded me why as marketers we always have to be mindful of the technological savviness of our audiences.
